Cooking in the Kitchen!
With our partnership with Chigamik and the Healthy Kids Community Challenge we are offering a 6-week cooking program called Cookin’ in the Kitchen. Cookin’ in the Kitchen is about providing boys and girls with opportunity to consume more fruits and vegetables and the importance of fruits and vegetables in one’s diet. Cookin’ in the Kitchen will help participants gain knowledge on how many servings they should have each day and give them the tools so they are able to properly and safely prepare and consume fruits and vegetables in a variety of forms.
"Walk Across Canada" Challenge
In May, we will be starting up our “Walk Across Canada” challenge. The goal of the challenge is as a group to walk the distance it would take to walk across Canada in a two-month time frame. Last year we were able to walk across 4 provinces!!! The program will be running every Tuesday and Wednesday for the months of May and June from 3:50-4:30.
If your tween would be interested in participating in this program please register them before April 28th, 2017. There will be different incentives for the participants for actively participating in the program as well as prizes as they reach a new province.
This program can be participated in a day to day basis, however if your tween is participating in it we ask that they are picked up after 4:30pm as we will be outside of the club.
Summer Camp
Keep an eye out for Summer Camp as registration will be opening soon!! We will be offering 8 full weeks of summer camp to children aged 6-11 filled with swimming, park time and fun field trips! We are also excited to announce that this year we will be offering 3 weeks of Tween Camp for those aged 10-13! Forms will be available on our website or at the Sign In/Sign Out table at the Club.
After School Program Registration
It’s that time of year again! Our After-School Program Registration for the 2017-2018 school year will begin on Monday, May 15th, 2017. Current members will be given registration forms and will have 2 weeks to complete forms and return to the club to secure their spots for next school year. Registration will close on Friday, May 26th, 2017.
