Go Girls!

In partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Simcoe the next session of Go Girls! will be beginning in October! Aimed at female identifying youth aged 11-14 this 7-week program focuses on healthy bodies, healthy minds and healthy choices. And best of all- It will be IN PERSON.

Youth Connections

Thanks to The Township of Tiny and their annual Mayor's Golf Tournament, we were able to offer our Youth Connections program to tweens ages 10-13! Each week, participants received weekly activity kits that included all the supplies needed for the planned activities. Participants had the opportunity to meet weekly on Zoom with our youth leaders to complete the activities and have a chance to socialize with their peers!

Indigo Summer Reading Program

To engage children and youth in reading over the summer, 31 participants received a delivery of three books each and opportunities to participate in virtual read-alongs and check-ins to deepen their enjoyment of reading. Thank you to the Indigo Love of Reading Foundation for their support!

Beans Beans, the Musical Fruit...

In a partnership between BGC North Simcoe, the North Simcoe Youth Wellness Hub and Chigamik, ten local families were provided with the ability to cook vegetarian meals over the course of four weeks. A package including legumes, rice, local vegetables, and all ingredients necessary to complete the weekly recipe were distributed out to families over the course of the program. A big thank you to GlobalMedic for providing a donation of hygiene supplies for families, as well as the Summertime Eat Well program, sponsored by President's Choice Children's Charity!
