Happy December!!
A few things to keep you up to date on what’s going on at the Boys & Girls Club:
Winter Break Camp
Registration is now open for our Winter Break Camp!! We will be offering Winter Break Camp from January 2nd, 2017 until January 6th, 2017. Camp is open for children ages 6-11 and will be $25 per day or $120 for the entire week. Our camp days will be filled with skating, outdoor play, crafts and lots of fun activities! Please pick up a registration form at the Sign-Out table for more information. Registration forms and payment are due by December 16th, 2016.
Holiday Challenge
Our staff here at the Club have taken on a Holiday Giving Back Challenge and we would like to extend our challenge to all families interested in helping out. For our challenge, we will be collecting donations to be giving to La Maison Rosewood Shelter and The Guesthouse. We are looking for items such as: adult male and female mitts, socks, toiletries (toothbrushes, toothpaste etc.), feminine hygiene products and non-perishable food items. Any support is greatly appreciated!
Saturday Kids Club
We had great success with our launch for Saturday Kids Club and are excited to announce that Kids Club is back for the month of December!! Kids Club runs from 1-4pm and will be open to both members and non-members of the Boys & Girls Club ages 6-10. Our Saturday Kids Club will include a snack, crafts, games and group activities. $2 for members and $4 for non-members (we will be accepting donations for our Holiday Challenge in place of payment for the month of December). Please register in advance as space is limited.
Reminders:
- Please call the Club at 705-526-6159 if your child will not be attending the After-School Program.
- Now that the weather is starting to change we would like to encourage our members to be wearing indoor shoes here at the Club to avoid bare or wet sock feet. Shoes should be labelled and can be left here throughout the week. We would also like to remind everyone to label their winter belongings (we see a lot of black snow pants and mitts).
- With Winter fast approaching, we also wanted to take this time to remind you that on Snow Days/Bus Cancellations Days we are CLOSED. Reminder: we are in the NORTH Zone.
- Payments for After School will come out on Thursday, December 1st
