BGC North Simcoe's mandate is to ensure that all community members have equal access to club programs and facilities. BGC North Simcoe is committed to protecting the privacy of its employees, members, donors, volunteers and other stakeholders. BGC North Simcoe values the trust of those we deal with, and of the public, and recognizes that maintaining this trust requires that we be transparent and accountable in how we treat the personal information that you choose to share with us. 

What is Personal Information?

Personal information is any information about an identifiable individual, including a person's name, birth date, marital status, social insurance number, ID numbers, income, ethnicity, blood type, passwords, license plate number, interests, hobbies, habits, medical records and history, or financial information.

Types of Information We Collect and How It Is Used

During the course of our various projects and activities, BGC North Simcoe occasionally gathers personal information. For example, personal information may be provided to us through membership applications, program registrations and donations.

Personal information gathered by BGC North Simcoe is kept in confidence. The personal information provided to us is used only for the purposes for which it was provided. BGC North Simcoe's personnel are authorized to access personal information based only on their need to deal with the information for the reason(s) for which it was obtained. Safeguards are in place to ensure that the information is not disclosed or shared more widely than is necessary to achieve the purpose for which it was gathered. We also take measures to ensure the integrity of this information is maintained and to prevent it from being lost, stolen or destroy. 

BGC North Simcoe will not provide or share your personal information with third parties unless: (1) you authorize us to share this information; (2) sharing the information is necessary to process an authorized donation or fee payment, for example, to process a credit card or debit transaction; or (3) we are required by law. 

Access to Your Personal Information

You are in control of any personal information you provide to us. If, at any time, you would like to update or correct the personal information we have about you, please let us know. 

Updating of Privacy Policy

BGC North Simcoe regularly reviews its Privacy Policy to ensure that it accords with best practices. Any revised versions of the privacy policy will be made available on our website, or hard copies can be obtained at the Club.
